Please note that Salang Pass reconstruction project has been started, the reconstruction spans 80 km of the busy road, which connects nine provinces to Kabul and work will take an estimated two years to finish. So with the completion of this project many traveling difficulties will be resolved and trade from the north to the south of the country will be developed.
Based on some reports, the highway is expected to closed completely from mid of September for approximately 1-2 months due to reconstruction . However exact date is not yet confirmed. During this period, all the movement of cargo / tucks will be suspended completely.
